Canoeing with friends in remote regions of Canada has always been an opportunity to reset from the day-to-day routines. The stunning beauty of an early canoe trip down the ‘pool and drop’ Agawa River flowing into Lake Superior, imprinted AGAWA’s founders with a lifelong passion for back country travel.

They would often find themselves discussing the shortcomings of some of their gear,while enjoying the evening camp fire. Often, pre-trip preparations involved time spent modifying gear to improve performance.

Career transitions offered an opportunity to explore the development of a truly superior camp saw. Agawa Canyon Inc. was launched out of a garage in 2014. Much of the initial funding for the BOREAL21 camp saw was provided by our early supporters through a Kickstarter campaign. Thank you.  The BOREAL21 was just the beginning- stay tuned!
